Tila Tequila Attacked with Rocks, Broken Glass at Concert

“Famed” Interweb-celeb-whore Tila Tequila pretty much had her ass kicked by a bunch of Juggalos at the Gathering of the Juggalos in Illinois, according to TMZ. A “Juggalo”, for your info, is a fan of the band Insane Clown Posse. So, in other words, they’ve picked really, really, REALLY shite music to listen to.

ANYWAYS, Tequila claims that when she got up on stage, “dudes were throwing huge stone rocks in my face, beer bottles that slit my eye open, almost burnt my hair on fire cuz they threw fire crackers on stage, and they even took the shit out of the port-0-potty and threw shit and piss at me when I was onstage.” Is it bad that I’m giggling as I’m writing this?

But this does beg the question: why the shit was Tila Tequila at an ICP function anyways? Is she a fan of their songs? Because if so then she deserves to get her ass beat because that is some fucking awful music. She went on to say that “2 thousand people ran after us, trying to kill me.” Which doesn’t seem all that accurate considering I’m pretty sure a lot of ICP fans aren’t in the best of shape. So while I’m sure a few gave chase, I’ll bet the rest went back to drinking their Faygo sodas and oogling their fat girlfriends.

In a way I do feel bad for Tila…ok, maybe bad is the wrong word. Perhaps confused fits the bill a bit better? Has it gotten to the point in her “career” that she has to make appearances in the back woods of Illinois at an Insane Clown Posse concert to keep her name alive? Perhaps the juggalos were doing a favor in trying to “kill” her, as she so aptly put it. Rather than have her suffer through miserable appearances, they probably felt it would be best to put her out of her misery. See? There’s totally another side to this coin.

But I’ve given too much attention to this already. You can go back to enjoying your weekend. But at least you now have a humorous tale to tell as you barbeque with family and friends.

Buffalo news reports the City Grill shooting death toll has risen

Buffalo Police say within the last hour that the shooter(s) are still be sought for a early morning rampage. Without specifying if one or more shooters is at large, Buffalo police are still investigating the scene of Saturday’s predawn shooting in the 200 block of Main St. Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge says the death toll is at 4, comprised of two men and two women. DeGeorge says there are 4 additionally injured. He says their conditions are unknown but they are all males.

Three fatal victims were found dead on the sidewalk reports Buffalo news, a fourth pronounced dead at a local area hospital thereafter.

Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge says the number of shooters is unknown. “There was some type of incident [inside the restaurant...] and it then spilled outside and that’s when the shootings occurred.” DeGeorge believes there was a gunfight between several parties, not just one shooter on a rampage. “The second possibility is more likely.

Buffalo police say a shooting outside a restaurant early Saturday has left four people dead and four wounded.

Do Friday the 13th concern you?

Friday the 13th is an unlucky day in much of Western Europe, North America, and Australia. Many people avoid travel and avoid signing contracts on Friday the 13th. Floors in tall buildings often skip from 12 to 14. And while the superstition is believed to be fading, many still have a keen interest in the supposedly unlucky day.

References to Friday the 13th as a day connected with bad luck generally began to show up in western literature around the mid-17th century. There are quotes referencing Friday the 13th that date back to 1656, or perhaps earlier. Friday's were considered a bad day for many ordinary tasks, from writing letters to conducting business and receiving medical treatment.

"Now Friday came, you old wives say, Of all the week's the unluckiest day." (1656)

"I knew another poor woman, who lost half her time in waiting for lucky days, and made it a rule never to . . . write a letter on business . . . on a Friday — so her business was never done, and her fortune suffered accordingly." (1804)

"There are still a few respectable tradesmen and merchants who will not transact business, or be bled, or take physic, on a Friday, because it is an unlucky day." (1831)

There are many references in history that list activities that should be avoided on Fridays, and more than likely this included the most superstitious of days, Friday the 13th.

Needleworking: "I knew an old lady who, if she had nearly completed a piece of needlework on a Thursday, would put it aside unfinished, and set a few stitches in her next undertaking, that she might not be obliged either to begin the new task on Friday or to remain idle for a day." (1883)

Harvesting: "My father once decided to start harvest on a Friday, and men went out on the Thursday evening, and, unpaid, cut along one side of the first field with their scythes, in order to dodge the malign fates which a Friday start would begin." (1933)

Laying the keel of, or launching, a ship: "Fisherman would have great misgivings about laying the keel of a new boat on Friday, as well as launching one on that day." (1885)

Beginning a sea voyage: "Sailors are many of them superstitious ... A voyage begun [on a Friday] is sure to be an unfortunate one." (1823)

Beginning a journey: "I knew another poor woman, who . . . made it a rule never to . . . set out on a journey on a Friday." (1804)

Giving birth: "A child born on a Friday is doomed to misfortune." (1846)

Getting married: "As to Friday, a couple married on that day are doomed to a cat-and-dog life." (1879)

Recovering from illness: "If you have been ill, don't get up for the first time on a Friday." (1923)

Hearing news: "If you hear anything new on a Friday, it gives you another wrinkle on your face, and adds a year to your age." (1883)

Moving: "Don't move on a Friday, or you won't stay there very long." (1982)

Starting a new job: "Servants who go into their situations on Friday, never go to stay." (1923)

Of course, a child could be born on a Friday with complete safety if it was also Good Friday, according to a quote from 1870:

"It was accounted unlucky for a child to be born on a Friday, unless it happened to be Good Friday, when the event was counterbalanced by the sanctity of the day." (1870)

Many different sources for the superstition surrounding the number thirteen have been posited, the most common stemming from another Christian source, the Last Supper, at which Judas Iscariot was said to have been the thirteenth guest to sit at the table. It was rumored in the 18th Century that thirteen people sitting down to a meal together presaged that one of them would die within the year.

"I have known, and now know, persons in genteel life who did, and do, not sit down to table unmoved with twelve others. Our notion is that one of the thirteen so partaking, will die ere the expiry of the year." (1823)

"The old story runs, that the last individual of the thirteen who takes a seat has the greatest chance of being the 'doomed one'." (1839)

Although superstitions don't seem to run as deep as they did in the 18th century, many still believe that the number 13 combined with Friday is a day to try to steer clear of bad luck.

Perhaps retailers could change this and start offering freebie and deals on Friday the 13th just like they do on Black Friday. Might change some of the long believed superstitions.

Serial Stabber Arrested

A man believed to be responsible of 20 stabbing attacks and five murders, known as the “serial stabber” has been arrested yesterday in Atlanta as he was trying to escape to Israel. According to the Associated Press, the man has been identified as Elias Abuelazam, and Israeli immigrant.
Abuelazam is suspected in 20 stabbings, five of which were fatal. Most of the victims were black but there were Hispanic and white people stabbed as well.

Since most of the victims were black, law enforcement officials suspected the stabbings were related to race. But that, again, was just a theory. The police could produce a different theory now that they have a suspect.

CNN also reports that once law enforcement authorities received a lead on Abuelazam from someone who saw the police sketch of him, they ran his name through databases and it popped up on the manifest of the flight to Israel.

. That would suggest that Abuelazam was thwarted in his effort to leave the U.S. by improvements in screening databases made for homeland-security purposes.

Airlines make passenger-manifest information for international and even domestic flights available to homeland-security officials who screen for terrorism risks. That system would have allowed law-enforcement officials to easily come up with Abuelazam's name.

PGA Championship 2010: Odds, Picks and Predictions – The PGA Tour Players are heading their way to the Whistling Straits, fans have already considered planning ahead of time watching the said much awaited and most anticipated tournament of the month.

Apparently, Tiger Woods are ready now and will be on hand to play. After the week at the Firestone, finishing a bad record of 18 over par and 30 shots out of first, fans are expecting Tiger Woods to win the overall PGA Championship title for this year at Whistling Straits.

Moreso, Phil Mickelson starts to talk about his arthritis that has plagued him before. And yes the professional golfer is dealing with what is called Psoriatic Arthritis thus might affect the game for Mickelson.

Ye Yang will be there to defend his last year’s title. The said tournament will roll up to $7.5 million with a winning share of $1.3 million.

As of the official World Golf Ranking, Tiger Woods still on the top spot ahead of Phil Mickelson by a small margin only. Mickelson have the Green Jacket for this year from the Masters while Woods continues to leave the courses empty handed over and over again.

Thick fog has delayed the start of the 2010 US PGA Championship at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin. The first tee times were due to go out at 1300 BST but officials are reporting that the start to the fourth and final major of the year will be delayed until further notice.Once the fog has lifted and it is clear enough to play, the first tee off time will be 30 minutes henceforth from that point. Stephen Gallacher is Britain’s first representative and was due out in the second group of the day at 1310 BST.

The Cloward-Piven approach called for swamping the welfare rolls with new applicants – more than the system could bear – so that the resulting economic collapse would lead to political turmoil and ultimately Marxism.
-- Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions).
-- Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming.
-- Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.
-- Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government.
-- Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country.
-- Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama).
With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Ted Stevens on Alaska Airplane Crash

Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican senator in U.S. history who lost his seat after a corruption conviction that was later dismissed, was killed Tuesday in a small plane crash in Alaska. He was 86.

A family friend said Stevens was among five people killed in the crash in southwest Alaska. News is coming in that former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe may have been in a downed plane along with Stevens (R-Alaska), the longest serving Republican in Senate history. No information.

Rescuers arrived on helicopter early Tuesday and were giving medical care to survivors, Alaska National Guard spokesman Maj. Guy Hayes said. He offered no additional details, except that there were potential fatalities.

Alaska officials reported that nine people were aboard the aircraft and that "it appears that there are five fatalities," NTSB spokesman Ted Lopatkiewicz told The Associated Press in Washington.

A U.S. government official told the AP that Alaska authorities have been told that the 86-year-old Stevens, a former longtime Republican senator, was on the plane. The official, who spoke on grounds of anonymity, says Stevens' condition is unknown.

What's that? You don't believe that story at all? Well then, smart guy, you explain this haircut the Denver Broncos just administered to noted football enthusiast Tim Tebow, rookie from Florida:

The pic comes via Lendale White's Twitter feed, and there's really no shortage of irony in the fact that Tebow was hazed by someone who's actually been with the Broncos for a shorter amount of time than Tebow has; White didn't even join the Broncos until earlier this week.

What makes this hazing great, by the way, is the attention to detail. Amateur hazers would just shave the hair off the top of the head and call it a day. Not so in Denver. Notice that Tebow's hazers also took care of the hair at the ears and below, creating a magnificent power ring. They also quite clearly took a few chops out of Tebow's beard, while preserving the Monastery Chinstrap. 6 stars out of 5, gents. And Mr. Tebow: please keep this hairstyle for as long as possible. Blaze a new trail.

The 2010 NFL Hall of Fame class is one of the greatest group of players to ever be inducted. The seven member class includes Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, John Randle, Dick LeBeau, Rickey Jackson, Russ Grimm and Floyd Little. Emmitt Smith, the dynamic running back, spent the better part of his career scoring touchdowns for the Dallas Cowboys. In 14 seasons he gained 18,355 yards and scored 164 touchdowns. Smith had 11 seasons that he accumulated over 1,000 yards and 78 games where he topped the 100 yard mark.

Emmitt Smith was the Dallas Cowboys main threat during their reign over the NFL in the 1990′s. As a part of the Triplets, with Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin, Emmitt Smith won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys. Aikman and Irvin, already in the NFL Hall of Fame, were recognized by Smith. He also had Daryl Johnston stand up and let everyone know much he appreciated him. “Most people only dream,” Smith said. “I not only had my childhood dream, I did everything I could to fulfill it. “You know what, I am now the all-time leading rusher. Wow. What an honor.”

UFC 117 Results : Silva Retain Title

Heading into their UFC middleweight championship fight at UFC 117, Anderson Silva let Chael Sonnen do all the talking.

When it came time to enter the cage Saturday, Sonnen continued to do all the talking, as he absolutely dominated Silva through the first four rounds and looked to be cruising to a rather large decision win.

Then Sonnen got nonchalant in the fifth round and got locked in a triangle choke that ended the fight with 1:50 remaining, allowing Silva to retain his UFC middleweight championship.

We don't get our usual Anderson Silva one-minute feeling out process here. He's going to work. "Silva" chants in the first 30 seconds. Sonnen staggers Silva and puts him back with a left. Dirty boxing for Sonnen now. Sonnen clipping Silva here. Silva pulls guard and reverses . Sonnen works his way back up. Sonnen with a hard shot. Now Silva just leaving his chin out there. Silva just gives him a takedown. Sonnen in half-guard now. Silva sitting against the cage now. Sonnen landing shots now. Silva gives up his back while on his knees. Silva rolls to his back. Sonnen pounding away with 90 seconds left in the round. Huge shot from Sonnen. He is all over Silva here. Sonnen pins down an arm but can't keep it. Sonnen teeing off here. Sonnen dives in with a shot and gets side control now with 40 seconds left. Silva regains full-guard, though. Elbow for Sonnen. Sonnen with more shots as the round comes to an end. Has to be a 10-8 round.

Silva lands a big leg kick to start the round but tries another and Sonnen takes him down. Silva trying to land elbows off his back. Half-guard now for Sonnen. "USA" chants now from a crowd that was chanting for Silva just a round ago. Sonnen boxing Silva's ears now to try to break Silva's grip. Shoulder shots send Silva's head into the canvas. Grip broken. Sonnen paintbrushing Silva's face now. Sonnen not letting Silva breathe as we hit the halfway point of the round. Big elbow for Sonnen. Silva tries to go for an armbar but it doesn't get past the development stages. Another big shot for Sonnen. Still in full-guard. Silva with wrist control but just leaving his face wide open as he takes two hard elbows. Add on two more. Silva tries to stand using the cage but Sonnen takes his back. Silva tries for a Kimura then a leg lock but Sonnen gets out and is back on top as the round ends.

Sonnen walks right into a hook to start the third round. Silva moving around and hits a side kick. Sonnen wades his way in with strikes and takes him down. Silva breathing hard. Silva actively looking for submissions but Sonnen is riding him on the side. Knees to the thigh for Sonnen. Now Sonnen going to the head. Silva spins out and gets guard. Silva locks up a body triangle. Sonnen just landing shots. Now to the body then head. Sonnen is absolutely relentless here. The round is over.

Silva drops Sonnen with an elbow to start the round. Silva going here. Swinging away. Silve tries a huge elbow but misses. Sonnen takedown attempt ends with Silva on top but Sonnen with a great switch. He's in Silva's guard. Sonnen with some more shots from the top. Not looking to pass but is staying very active. Silva trying to flip Sonnen off of him but Sonnen has great control. Silva tries to throw from his back. Sonnen landing so many shots. Sonnen is bleeding. Silva with an elbow. Another round ends with Sonnen on top.

Sonnen's cut is a moderate cut. Sonnen charges out again. Long-shot takedown attempt is stuffed. A slip puts Silva on his back with 4:30 left and this could be it. Sonnen tries an arm-triangle but gives it up. Silva tires to scramble but Sonnen ends up in side control, but ends up back in full guard. More shots raining down for Sonnen here. We're halfway through the round. Sonnen just punching Silva's body with no urgency. Silva with a shot from the bottom then he locks in a triangle choke. It's deep. Sonnen taps! Or did he? There's much confusion. Sonnen protests but it's clear he taps.

One of the best paid CEOs resigned today amidst scandal. Mark Hurd of HP left his job after it was revealed he had a relationship with a woman who worked with the company on marketing issues.

Hurd, named CEO in early 2005, is widely credited with turning the company around after the volatile reign of Carly Fiorina. Shares rose 136 percent under his watch.

The board of the Palo Alto hardware giant appointed Chief Financial Officer Cathie Lesjak, a 24-year company veteran, interim CEO while a search committee seeks a full-time replacement. Dow Jones reported that Hurd will receive an eight-figure severance package.

The shakeup is the result of an internal investigation begun after a former HP contractor accused Hurd of sexual harassment, the company said in a press release Friday. A subsequent investigation overseen by HP's board found there was no violation of the company's sexual harassment policy but concluded Hurd had violated standards of business conduct.
